Smart electronic devices often use metal parts made from mim (metal injection molding) technology. MIM is a cost-effective and efficient method for producing complex shapes and embedded components, and is particularly well suited for fast production of small components in large quantities. Mim metal parts used in electronic devices are typically made from stainless steel, tool steel, and other special alloys, which are mixed with a binder to form a malleable powder. This powder is then molded into the desired shape and sintered with heat to produce a strong and lightweight component. MIM is used in a wide variety of products, from medical implants to cell phones, and can be customized or designed to fit each device’s needs.
