    Stainless steel injection molding is commonly used in many industries, such as medical devices, automotive components, food packaging, home appliances, and consumer electronics. The process involves a molten metal alloy being heated and injected into a precision mold, resulting in a finished part with extremely high repeatability, accuracy, and strength. This process is relatively cost effective and can produce thinner walls and intricate detail, making it an ideal choice for many types of projects. 

    Stainless Steel Injection Molding Material

    Harber MIM 17-4 PH  (precipitation hardening grade) MIM is a martensitic dispersion strengthened stainless steel material that allows stainless steel components with extra high mechanical properties to be designed. It is magnetic and hardenable to various strength levels by varying the aging heat-treating temperature.

    Harber MIM 316L (austenitic grade, food grade)  MIM is an austenitic stainless steel alloy that is often used in aggressive environments, additional qualities include excellent elongation and ductility, as it is one of the best stainless steel alloys available with MIM technology.

    Harber MIM-420 (martensitic grade) is a combination of high strength, hardness, and wear resistance with moderate corrosion resistance. This material is magnetic and typically has less distortion with vacuum heat treatment over that of oil quenching. It’s often used for aerospace, automotive, cutlery, defense, power hand tools, and surgical instruments. 

    Harber MIM M2 MIM is a high-speed steel with amazing wear properties due to its hardness. MIM technology makes it possible to completely avoid the need for finishing.
